Alexander
Alexander Alvarado was born into a musical family and began his musical journey at a young age. He first learned the violin from his mother, Alexandra Loukianova, before discovering his passion for the classical guitar.
Born in Moscow, Russia—his mother's homeland—he grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, his father's homeland. He also spent several years in Sydney, Australia. Today, Alexander lives in Berlin and brings a rich, multicultural background to his musical work.
Driven by a deep passion for music education, composition and performance, Alexander continued his studies at prestigious institutions such as the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and the Sydney Conservatorium.
His musical development was significantly influenced by his parents as well as by respected guitarists such as Sonia Diaz, Julian Byzantine (a student of John Williams), Giuseppe Zangari, Raffael Agostino, Timothy Kain and Greg Pickler.
But Alexander's commitment to music goes far beyond playing the guitar: under the guidance of Dr. Anne Boyd, he devoted himself intensively to composition and refined his conducting skills in lessons with Anthony Fields.
